Breaks from Blogging
Belated Merry Christmas everyone! For some reason, although I have plenty of time, I haven't felt like blogging. Perhaps it just seems strange to not be doing it from work (hehe!). Anyways, more than anything else, I've been enjoying not staring at a computer screen for 14 hours a day.
So the DC family trip was fun. The White House is amazing at Christmas although I was disappointed to not see Barney or Miss Beazley. (I'll have to hang out there more often in order to catch them playing in the lawn.)
Christmas flew by strangely fast. I feverishly finished up shopping for the 'rents since I didn't want to pay DC prices for gifts. Santa also brought some very nice gifts for me including a nice, new set of pink, fluffy bath towels that I've been requesting for a while, (Mrs. M...?) this fun book, which will spur many hours of entertainment at the office and this book from one of my favorite fashion icons.
It appears that President Ford died last night. My sympathies go out to his family. However, it would seem that I always miss the excitement in DC. Since I'm not heading out until the 7th, if he has a state funeral, I'll miss it. Tempting to see if I can move my ticket up. Official ceremonies fascinate me. Perhaps that explains my anglophila.
Also, this past week has reminded me of how I have an amazing set of friends in Chattanooga (not to exclude Mrs. M in K-town)! Getting to spend time with them has probably been the best Christmas present ever. I really don't know what I'd do without any of them!
