12 Hours Later

YEA!!! I'm finished for the semester! I have a life again until January 16!

Last night, I took my last final which was an agonizing writing lab for my communications tactics course.

This exam was truly evil.

While it wasn't hard (write a press release, PSA and letter of reccomendation in 2.5 hours), the professor gave it to us purely out of spite. Since the unspoken rule is that there aren't any finals in grad school (only massive papers, crazy campaigns and 3-hour presentations), none of my other profs made us meet for finals. Apparently AU has some obscure rule that all classes must meet during the final exam period. Given that this class was scheduled for the last final slot, my professor decided to be a stickler and force everyone to stay in town for an extra weekend so we could have one more night of "practice."

Factor in that my professor was bragging to all the other faculty that he was being mean and forcing us to do it just because he can, and none of us were happy campers last night. My friend R did find out that other professors were upset and sticking up for us and calling him to complain.

Have I mentioned what an odd little world AU is?

The good news is that I'm now 12 hours into my program! That means I only have 18 more to go by July.
