Oy Vey!
Why doesn't English have appropriate expressions. It seems like we have to resort to another language to find the appropriate words.
Anyways...
My brain is completely useless. I'm supposed to get an invitation cranked out this afternoon, but my creativity is at negative levels right now. PR Jedi Master and most of the staff are out of town, so the office is really quiet. Factor in that she told me to use her really comfy, plush leather computer chair this week, and I could curl up and take a nap. It's gonna be hard to give it back

Today's been a fun one. This morning started bright and early at 5 a.m. with thoughts of Relay.
4:58 a.m. Wake up thinking about what I need to e-mail the ACS rep today
5:00 a.m. Realize that I need to email everyone and their brother about shoes (most of you should have gotten it by now. Please help out.)
5:08 a.m. Think about my day at work and a large ticket donation I need to get together
5:12 a.m. Think how lucky we are to have such great volunteers that help fulfill said ticket order and make mental note to thank them
5:15 a.m. Realize that there is a Volunteer Recognition Breakfast that I'm supposed to be at a 8:30 a.m. and have completely forgotten about
5:18 a.m. Force self to get up because previously ironed outfit is not dressy enough for above breakfast.
5:19 a.m. Realize that it's going to be looooooong day.

Folks, the mental faculties of Girl from the South need some R&R. I've been trying to write an e-mail for 15 minutes now, and I've got nothing. It seems like all I've done today is respond to people with one word answers--"Fabulous," "Thanks!" or "Sounds great!" (that's two words, so I guess it's a step in the right direction.)

Relay is shaping up to be a really great event. It just seems like all of my responsibilities are hitting at once. Now that the money is raised and the teams recruited, it' time to run the actual event and a big part of that is my job. Now I've got to finish the activity guide, make lots of little things, and track down about 100 pairs of shoes, several large boxes, fruit, peanut butter and oh yeah, volunteers to actually run things.

Oh my gosh! I just got a donation request for 100 children's tickets for tomorrow afternoon! Since I'm out of the office all day tomorrow for a conference, that means that I have fun times tonight stapling 100 tickets to 100 brochures. And I was wondering what to do after Bible study. Guess my attention won't be fully riveted on Alias. How do you spell dedication? G-I-R-L F-R-O-M T-H-E S-O-U-T-H!
